Open Crit aims to create an accessible crit experience that cultivates creativity by connecting artists and designers around the world to share and discuss about each other’s projects. Deconstructing the standardized metrics used to validate work enables an inclusive platform for lateral education and cultivates an open environment in which creative individuals are given equal importance and responsibility. The platform encourages a safe space for artists and designers to provide constructive criticism to one another. The COVID-19 pandemic and the forced transition to remote workspaces offered an opportunity to explore this possibility of a more accessible Crit culture.
